The Resource Center provides a wide range of technical assistance services and resources relating to the development and enhancement of American Indian and Alaska Native justice systems. Programs and services developed by the Resource Center are offered to all tribal justice system personnel -- whether working with formalized tribal courts or with tradition-based tribal dispute resolution forums. The Resource Center provides a number of services and programs including the following: Toll-Free Hotline - Feel free to call our toll-free hotline with your questions dealing with tribal justice. Our staff will answer your questions or, if we are unable to answer it, we will refer you to someone who can. The toll free number is 1-877-97NTJRC (877-976-8572). We are available to take your calls, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Mountain Time). Online Help Line - By clicking on the Help Button of any page of our website, you will immediately be directed to a live technical assistant who may help you answer any questions or locate information. This helpline is staffed 8:00am to 5:00pm (Mountain Standard Time). On Site-Technical Assistance and Evaluation Referrals - This referral service is provided to tribes based upon type of need, available resources, and objectives. There is no charge for this service. Technical assistance on-site referrals can range from new court/justice system development to program evaluation to assistance with new justice programming to case management and records assistance and much more. Codes, Constitutions & State Agreements - The Resource Center has over 200 searchable and printable tribal codes, constitutions, and state agreements on this web site, that tribal justice system personnel may find useful. Court Opinions - The Resource Center has over 2200 searchable and printable tribal court opinions and supreme court decisions published on this web site. You can search by State, Tribe, Keyword or Subject of the Opinions. Calendar of Training Events and Conferences - This calendar lists current information about trainings, seminars and conferences that relate to tribal justice. In addition, you may post tribal justice related events on our site. Online Messageboard- Use our online messageboard to post questions and ask for technical assistance with tribal court or law related issues. The messageboard is public and open to responses. Job Opportunities - Use our online job opportunities page to advertise and search for positions available in the Tribal Court System Industry. Quarterly Newsletter - NTJRC publishes a quarterly newsletter that is made available on the website and is mailed out to over 750 tribes and organizations related to tribal court law and policy. Our newsletter includes events, job postings, current news at NTJRC, current news in Indian Country and much more! Tribal Court Directory - NTJRC publishes a Tribal Court Directory online and in cd format which is searchable and is updated twice a year. Funding Opportunities - Use our online Funding Opportunities web page to advertise or search and apply for funding positions made available through federal agencies, organizations and the private sector. Mailing Lists Vendor Profiles - NTJRC allows vendors to advertise on our webpage on an annual basis. In exchange to visitors, NTJRC provides a detailed profile on each vendor and their software/hardware. In addition, vendors can be rated online after purchase. Technical Assistance Provider Profiles - NTJRC works with multiple TA providers and has attempted to locate all TA providers information and background in one place. Members who are searching for technical assistance can search by topic and then review TA providers to find the perfect match. Once the Technical assistance has been provided, those who received aid can review the performance of the TA provider on our website. Publications - NTJRC works with several organizations including Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance, Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, Office of Victims of Crime, Burea of Justice Statistics, National American Indian Court Judges Association, and many others to locate, digitize and publish online a copy of reports, training manuals, and other documentation pertinent to the best practices and success of tribal court systems and law enforcement. Tribal Judicial Resources - The Resource Center has many resources available online for tribal justice systems including numerous publications; links to funding resources; a talking circle where questions, concerns and suggestions can be posted and responded to; and links to other organizations and informational resources. In addition, many other judicial resources can be located and/or accessed by contacting the Resource Center directly. Tribal Court System Personnel - With high turnover rates and small training budgets, NTJRC recognized the need for specialized websites for many professionals in the tribal court and law system. In response to this, NTJRC provides specialized information for each position and works with outside committees of professionals in the field to updated and maintain each site. Legal Issues - NTJRC has added a section of available resources including information and links to articles for many legal issues. Website Development, Web Hosting & Document Digitization - We provide a wide range of services related to technology; including low-cost website development for tribal related organizations, tribes and tribal courts, free webhosting to tribes and tribal courts and low-cost document digitization. We have developed multiple tribal court related sites including the National Tribal Justice Resource Center, BJA Tribal Court Grantee website, BJA Indian and Alcohol Grantee website, and mini-websites specialized to different positions and types of courts within the tribal justice system. |
